摘要: Abstract Propofol is one of the most widely used agents for anesthetic induction and sedation in intensive care unit. Due to its high lipophilicity, propofol has been formulated as an oil water microemulsion. As alkyl phenol, it irritating effect on skin mucous membranes which leads irritation vein endothelium. Pain intravenous injection a common side effect, related increased concentration aqueous phase. Present study was designed investigate probable different factors phase, follows: (1) type osmotic agent, (2) organic (3) volume (4) surfactant. Water-soluble were dissolved water, water-insoluble ingredients After adding phase formulations put shaker incubator at 150 rate per minute room temperature 48 h reach balance. In order separate each formulation transferred separatory funnel. The HPLC method determine Our findings show that agent not significant Type amount surfactant notably affect Changing types or can lead new lower concentrations It result decrease pain injection.
