摘要: C-band repeat-pass interferometry, in particular, the coherence, has been shown to be of great potential for stem volume retrieval. For boreal forests, we have investigated a retrieval method based on inversion ERS-1/2 coherence measurements by means semiempirical model. A multitemporal combination several estimates used order reduce errors estimation. The procedure was first applied forest estate located Kattbole, Sweden, where accurate situ were taken. Stem determined both at stand level (between 2 and 14 ha) pixel (25 25 m). data acquired stable winter-type conditions gave most results. Based results obtained extended large area 4235 km around Kattbole. Retrieval performed all forested areas basis m), generating maps. In level, up 350 m 3 /ha estimated with an error comparable ground truth, i.e. 10 /ha. At reached value 55 71 area, respectively. Compared from analysis, higher is believed mainly due uncertainty estimation high geometric mismatch between field data. Moreover, over areas, spatial variation parameters model should considered.
