摘要: The concept of ‘wellbeing’ has received growing interest in policy domains the UK, and internationally, as a multi-dimensional approach to understanding measuring social progress development. Policy makers scientists alike are debating potential wellbeing deliver people-centred, holistic, analysis what matters people terms quality life pursue able achieve. There is also how might be applied fisheries, especially deepening assessment ways which decline fisheries sector affecting fishing-dependent families, wider community. This paper applies three-dimensional framework methodology gain insight into fishing society Northern Ireland, region that faced substantial its over past 100 years. A considers material, relational cognitive dimensions; putting resources, relationships subjective reflections on satisfaction together whole assessment. All three dimensions important for full wellbeing. Following an overview used data collected, then assesses extent well-being can provide useful insights sustainable Ireland.
