摘要: A study of 7735 middle-aged British men drawn from general practices in twenty-four towns shows that there has been a progressive increase mean height the who were born between 1919 and 1939. This is true for both manual non-manual classes, but heights two groups are significantly different remain widely separated over this period time. Manual workers lag twenty years behind their attained height. Data other studies indicate social class difference adult still present those up to 1960. The variation less marked than classes. After age have taken into account, "town effect" on present. If accepted as an indicator socio-economic circumstances childhood, then Great Britain which does not appear be diminishing.
