摘要: The influence of various fatty acids 14-18 carbon chain lengths on the binding calcium to human serum albumin was studied. cis-unsaturated (myristoleic, palmitoleic, oleic, and linoleic) caused a much larger increase in affinity maximum for than did saturated (myristic, palmitic, stearic). For unsaturated acids, calcium-albumin increased as degree unsaturation or length decreased. With oleic linoleic acid, increases were observed at approximately 2-3 mol acid/mol albumin, while myristic, elaidic concentrations 5-7 acids/mol required. fluorescence emission found change parallel with acids. We conclude that 1) trans-unsaturated have very different effects 2) alteration is likely due conformational molecule, 3) changes are levels which obtainable vivo.
