摘要: The aetiology of Crohn's disease (CD) is currently unknown. A viral trigger was proposed more than 40 years ago and has been the focus many investigations. We summarised current literature surrounding association between viruses CD conducted a systematic review all studies investigating this quantitatively. Studies were identified by searching for 13 specific virus names or general term 'virus' 'Crohn's disease' in search engines PubMed OVID. total 1315 identified, which 78 had laboratory result. Of 78, 46 case-control met inclusion criteria forest plot analysis. most common studied EBV, CMV measles (MV). Forest analysis each carried out (fitted using random effects) evidence an (risk ratio [RR] 1.602, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.069 to 2.400) with some suggestion that EBV may also be associated (RR 1.366, CI 0.996 1.873). However, there large heterogeneity results from EBV. There little MV, human herpes 6, 8, simplex virus, varicella-zoster mumps Rubella rotavirus, norovirus adenovirus. still question around whether presence known virus.
