摘要: We used computerized image analysis to evaluate quantitatively the ability of topically applied corticosteroids (dexamethasone sodium phosphate, prednisolone acetate), cyclooxygenase inhibitors (flurbiprofen, indomethacin, ketorolac), lipoxygenase (REV 5901, esculetin, quercetin), and dual cyclooxygenase/lipoxygenase (BW 755C, BW A540C) reduce corneal neovascularization in rat induced by silver/potassium nitrate cauterization. Significant decreases neovascular response were found with inhibitors. A complete dose-response curve was performed for a representative compound from each class. Dexamethasone be superior flurbiprofen its this model, while no significant inhibition noted either REV 5901 or even at high doses. conclude that angiogenic model can reduced as well other mechanisms are steroid-dependent but are, yet, poorly defined.
