摘要: Injury to the cornea provokes an inflammatory response with degree of inflammation correlating severity injury. Thein situappearance inflamed usually consists conjunctival vasodilation, edema and neovascularization. While vasodilation are reversible, neovascularization may or not be depending upon vascular invasion into this normally avascular tissue. Therefore, a vascularized presents serious clinical problem since visual acuity is impaired by physical presence vessels. If vessels do regress fully, permanent loss follows. Despite uniform manifestations inflammation, mediators tissue injury specific.
