摘要: The avian zoonotic agent for West Nile virus (WNV) can cause neuroinvasive disease in horses and humans is expanding its range Europe. Analyses of the risk transmission to these hosts non-endemic areas are necessary. Host preferences mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae), main vectors WNV, were determined Switzerland using animal-baited trap (horse, chickens) experiments at a natural periurban site. This was undertaken on four occasions during May–September 2014. In addition, 505 blood-fed collected zoo field determined. Mosquito data obtained animal bait corrected host weight body surface area by Kleiber's scaling factor. Collections 11–14 different mosquito species achieved with approaches. Statistically significant identified three both other showed opportunistic feeding behaviours varying extents. Specifically, invasive Hulecoeteomyia japonica (= Aedes japonicus) first time as avians nature. Abundance data, spatiotemporal activity laboratory vector competence WNV suggested that, addition Culex pipiens, H. Aedimorphus vexans vexans) most likely candidate bridge Switzerland.
