摘要: The glued- laminated lumber (glulam) technique is an efficient process for the rational use of wood. Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRPs) associated with glulam beams provide significant improvements in strength and stiffness alter failure mode these structural elements. In this context, paper presents guidance beam production, experimental analysis made Pinus caribea var. hondurensis species without externally-bonded FRP theoretical models to evaluate reinforced (bending stiffness). Concerning bending beams, aims only analyze limit state ultimate compression tension. A specific disposal was used order avoid lateral buckling, once tested have a higher ratio height-to-width. results indicate need production control so as guarantee efficiency beams. introduced tensile section resulted on their due reinforcement thickness increase. During testing, two stages were observed. first sheet positioned under layer, while second occurred result preliminary yielding upper side lumber, followed by both shear fiber-lumber interface model shows good correlation between estimated results.
