摘要: The idea of reinforcing glued laminated timber (glulam) beams came in response to the need improve mechanical properties, as well ensure higher reliability this type structural elements. This paper describes an experimental program which examines reinforcement flexure glulam with carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) plates. Fifteen CFRP at tension side and five unreinforced control were instrumented tested failure a four-point bending configuration. properties are compared those regard load-deflection behaviour, mode, ultimate load capacity, stiffness strain distribution. results demonstrated beneficial effect proposed solution terms strength, ductility.
