摘要: The Pycnonotidae (bulbuls and greenbuls) comprise approximately 130 species are widely distributed across Africa Asia, mainly in evergreen thickets forest. Recent molecular findings suggest a basal split between the African Asian species, although three Pycnonotus part of radiation represent relative recent immigration to Africa. In this study we investigate phylogenetic relationships within clade, which with exclusion contains 50 majority placed large genera Andropadus, Phyllastrephus Chlorocichla. We use nuclear markers (myoglobin intron 2, ODC introns 6 7 along intervening exon 7, β-fibrinogen 5), together encompassing 2072 aligned positions, infer clade. resulting tree is generally well supported indicates that none largest currently recognized monophyletic. For instance, included Andropadus different clades not each other's closest relatives. montane genus form strongly sister Ixonotus, Thescelocichla, Baeopogon Chlorocichla, clade Chlorocichla polyphyletic. remaining fall into two groups, one these A. importunus gracilirostris, Calyptocichla serina branch greenbul radiation. support some previous studies Leaf-love (Pyrrhurus scandens) Phyllastrephus. also propose new classification reflects among greenbuls.
