Urbanization in search of energy in three Indian cities

摘要: Abstract In the summer of 1989 a survey was conducted to collect data on household-energy consumption in Indian cities. The three urban areas varying sizes. end-uses considered were cooking, water heating, lighting, air cooling, entertainment, cold storage, and washing/laundry. surveys involved examination types quantities energy used satisfy each these services. sample cities broken down by income group, allowing for careful influence household lifestyle patterns related use choices. Among houses surveyed 75 households Pune, India, that took part 1982 study as well. re-surveying process allowed an analysis longitudinal changes residential use. Based findings, number recommendations are provided improving provision India.
