摘要: Glaciochemical measurements in polar and alpine ice cores provide a unique opportunity to study natural anthropogenic impacts on atmospheric chemistry, as well interpret past changes climate dynamics biogeochemistry. While many different soluble mineral organic constituents can be measured snow ice, most studies focus the major ions (Na + , Mg 2+ Ca K NH 4 Cl − NO 3 SO 2− ) that represent majority of chemistry atmosphere, acids (e.g., methylsulfonate, CH ). Sources for these include sea salt, terrestrial dust, biological emissions, cases are important components sulfur nitrogen biogeochemical cycles. Because several have multiple sources, measurement full suite conjunction with statistical analysis lead detailed interpretation conditions. Improvements analytical techniques led global distribution core glaciochemical datasets timescales ranging from seasonal glacial/interglacial used spatial temporal variability chemical source, transport, depositional processes.
