摘要: BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: In nutritional epidemiology, collecting self-reported respondent height and weight is a simpler procedure of data collection than taking measurements. The aim this study was to compare measured evaluate the possibility using estimates in assessment status elderly Poles aged 65 + years. SUBJECTS/METHODS: research carried out Respondents were chosen quota sampling. total sample numbered 394 participants sub-sample involved 102 participants. Self-reported (non-corrected weight; non-cSrW) height; non-cSrH) collected. measurements (measured mW) mH) taken. Using multiple regression equations, corrected (cSrW) (cSrH) calculated. RESULTS: Non-cSrH higher mH men on average by 2.4 cm women 2.3 cm. comparison mW, non-cSrW 0.7 kg, while no significant difference found (mean 0.4 kg). mBMI, non-cSrBMI lower 0.6 kg/m2 women. No differences observed overweight obesity incidence when determined mBMI (68% 19%, respectively), (62% 14%, cSrBMI (70% 22%, respectively) pcSrBMI (67% 18%, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: Since results showed that estimated heights, weights BMI accurate, accurate as well. use population level therefore recommended. On an individual level, equations recommended correct height, particularly
