摘要: We compared parallel and series hybrid powertrains on fuel economy, component energy loss, emissions control in Class 8 trucks over both city highway driving. A comprehensive set of models describing battery energy, engine efficiency, control, power demand interactions for heavy duty (HD) hybrids has been integrated with order to identify the technical barriers these powertrain technologies. The results show that is absolutely negative economy benefit long-haul due an efficiency penalty associated dual-step conversions (i.e. mechanical electric mechanical). current technology combined 50% auxiliary load reduction could elevate 5-7% trucks, but a profound improvement truck requires additional innovative technologies reducing aerodynamic drag rolling resistance losses. simulated indicates reduce more CO HC than conventional trucks. further indicate catalyzed DPF played important role oxidations.
