摘要: Groundwater is the most important water resource, on which depends human geo-economic development and survival. Recent environmental changes anthropogenic activities render groundwater severely vulnerable. in Central Sindh, Pakistan, facing a similar situation. Hydrogeochemical characteristics of said region were investigated by analyzing 59 samples via agricultural drinking indices, using various statistical methods graphical approaches to identify factors affecting groundwater. Major reactions occurring system quantified hydrogeochemical modeling. A summary reveals abundance cations Na+ > Ca2+ Mg2+ K+, while anions HCO3− Cl− SO42. chemistry mainly rock dominance. Correlation analysis relationships between ions reveal that ion exchange weathering such as dissolution halite, albite, carbonate minerals are rock–water interactions, governing evolution chemistry. Hydrochemical facies predominantly mixed CaMgCl Na-Cl type, with few Ca-HCO3 constitutes fresh recharged water. Based Water Quality Index (WQI), 28.82% found be unsuitable for drinking. United States Salinity Laboratory (USSL) diagram, Wilcox other indices indicate majority fall within acceptable range irrigation purposes.
