摘要: Contact urticaria syndrome (CUS) consists of a heterogeneous group vascular and inflammatory reactions that occur within minutes to an hour contact with causative agent. Reactions can vary from localized wheal flare, more systemic aspects – asthma, anaphylaxis, even death depending upon the agent patient response. The breadth eliciting agents incidence CUS has been growing as awareness developed, although true scope in general population remains uncertain due lack epidemiological information. Diagnosis historically difficult, typically disappear hours before patients meet healthcare worker. As result, detailed histories immediate type allergy testing are primary modes diagnosis. Treatment primarily avoidance. Extreme cases may require wear bracelet detailing their allergies, possibly carry antihistamines or self-administered epinephrine.
