摘要: Rationale and Objectives We sought to investigate the utility of phase-contrast diffuse optical tomography (PCDOT) for differentiation malignant benign breast masses in humans compare PCDOT with conventional (DOT) analysis humans. Materials Methods Thirty-five were imaged 33 patients (mean age, 51 years; range, 22–80) using PCDOT. Images characterizing tissue refractive index, absorption scattering coefficients obtained a finite element-based reconstruction algorithm. Theses images then analyzed compared biopsy/pathology results all cases examined. Results Malignant lesions tended have decreased allowing them be discriminated from most cases, whereas unable accurately discriminate lesions. The sensitivity, specificity, false-positive value, overall accuracy index imaging 81.8%, 70.8%, 29.2%, 74.3%, respectively. increases increasing patient age. Conclusion Refractive is new parameter that may helpful differentiating between breast.
