摘要: Abstract The protective green patina which forms on copper when it is exposed to the atmosphere complex and has been poorly characterized. Using modern analytical techniques, more than 15 samples of varying ages exposures have examined in detail. A number new components patinas revealed, results, combined with atmospheric chemical information, used deduce detailed mechanisms patination. previously established physical characteristics are reviewed. design investigations reported upon subsequent papers described.
