摘要: Given that biological conservation cannot prevent the full range of negative impacts on biodiversity, ecological restoration is nowadays commonly acknowledged as a necessary tool for purposes. Here, we report an rehabilitation project in La Crau area (south-eastern France), beginning 2009 when former industrial orchard (357 ha) was rehabilitated into Mediterranean rangeland. We assessed effect and different additional treatments beetle assemblages. Seven were considered: reference steppe, treatment alone, three experimental (soil transfer; nurse species seeding hay transfer), control edge between steppe area. All families considered. Beetles sampled with pitfall traps 3 years (2011–2013). Our major finding positive soil transfer treatments, which promote characteristic composition steppe. Nevertheless, strong differences remain various terms composition. Long-term monitoring should therefore now focus particular indicator could reflect response overall assemblage
