摘要: Dispersal ability is known to limit the colonization by many fenland species onto restored habitat but factors determining wetland invertebrates have not been previously examined. We used mark-release-recapture and harmonic radar tracking coupled with genetic analysis (ISSR-PCR, inter-simple sequence repeat—polymerase chain reaction) assess population structure of a brachypterous carabid (Carabus granulatus) fenland. The first two methods were determine dispersal rate C. granulatus in absence barriers, while was examine whether populations separated either distance or water channels drainage ditches that intersect landscapes. Mark-release-recapture indicated most active 6% individuals could travel over 25 m day found be traveling these distances remained atypically throughout season. Thus, can disperse at great enough colonize all areas study site within 1 year barriers. no evidence genetically distinct sub-populations showing barriers did movement from potential source habitat. This research indicates where created nearby established fenland, opportunities should considered limiting factor carabids, even waterways divide sites.
