摘要: Evaluation of cell-mediated immunity (CMI) is a significant component in any assessment designed to predict the full range potential immunotoxic risk underlying health risks. Among measures CMI, cytotoxic T Lymphocyte (CTL) response recognized as perhaps most relevant functional measure that reflects acquired immune defense against viral infections and cancer. The CTL T-dependent antigens requires cooperation at least three different major categories cells. These include professional antigen presenting cells (e.g., dendritic cells), CD4(+) helper lymphocytes, CD8(+) effector lymphocytes. It also among few responses dependent on and, hence, capable evaluating effective presentation via both class I II molecules histocompatibility complex (MHC). For this reason assay an excellent candidate for evaluation immunotoxicity. This chapter provides example mouse influenza virus has been utilized purpose.
