摘要: Abstract Background Coordination between the upper and lower extremities is important to providing dynamic stability during human gait. Though limited, previous research has suggested that interlimb coordination may be impaired in persons with Parkinson's disease. We extend this work using continuous analytical techniques enhance our understanding of gait Methods Eighteen adults disease fifteen healthy older walked overground while undergoing three-dimensional motion capture. Ipsilateral contralateral sagittal shoulder hip angles was assessed cross-covariance techniques. Independent samples paired t-tests compared measures groups sides within participants disease, respectively. Pearson's correlations were applied investigate associations subscores gait, posture, bradykinesia on Unified Disease Rating Scale. Findings reduced adults. more affected by found negatively associated clinical scores posture. Interlimb not significantly bradykinesia. Interpretation Persons exhibit when These reductions are related clinically-meaningful worsening posture PD arm leg movements should considered future therapy population.
