摘要: BACKGROUND Black women are known to have a higher risk of aggressive endometrial cancers. Little data exist about the role nativity as determinant survival outcomes in with this disease. AIM Our objective was evaluate population Haitian immigrants cancer an urban setting using Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS). METHODS A search FCDS identified 107 born Haiti and who received treatment for invasive Miami-Dade County between 1989 2013. Clinicopathologic were extracted describe cohort assess associations overall survival. Statistical analyses performed Cox proportional hazards models, log-rank test, Kaplan-Meier method, significance set at P ≤ 0.05. RESULTS Median age diagnosis 65 years. 63.9% patients had type II, high-grade, histology, 52.6% presented extrauterine metastatic Nearly three quarters health insurance. Within entire cohort, only presence disease associated worse [Hazard ratio (HR) = 2.70, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.31-5.57, 0.007]. However, after stratification by histologic grade, both (HR 0.88, 95%CI: 0.81-0.96, 0.002) 2.49, 1.01-6.21, 0.049) independently survival, but II malignancies. CONCLUSION Urban high burden histologies. Additional investigation explain etiology these findings is needed.
