摘要: The role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) during pollen tube growth has been well established, but its involvement in the early germination stage is poorly understood. ROS production reported germinating tobacco pollen, evidence for a clear correlation between and success remains elusive. Here, we show that are involved formation kiwifruit. Using labelling with dihydrofluorescein diacetate (H(2) FDA) nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT), endogenous were detected immediately following rehydration lag phase preceding emergence. Furthermore, extracellular H(2) O(2) was found to accumulate, beginning few minutes after suspension liquid medium. essential kiwifruit performance, since presence compounds acting as superoxide dismutase/catalase mimic (Mn-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(1-methyl-4-pyridyl)21H,23H-porphin, Mn-TMPP) or NADPH oxidase inhibitor (diphenyleneiodonium chloride, DPI), levels reduced emergence severely completely inhibited. Moreover, substantially decreased absence calcium, by chromium bisphenol A, which inhibit Peroxidase activity cytochemically revealed germination. In parallel, dismutase enzymes, particularly Cu/Zn-dependent subtype - function radical scavengers immunoblotting an in-gel assay suggesting may be tightly regulated. Timing appearance, localisation at aperture strict requirement clearly suggest important grain activation initiation.
