Wetting dynamics of polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers and trisiloxanes in respect of polyoxyethylene chains and properties of substrates

摘要: Wetting performance of aqueous solutions trisiloxane surfactants (TEOn) and polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers (C10EOn) on polypropylene, Parafilm Teflon AF surfaces in a wide range concentrations has been investigated. Surfactants C10EOn only facilitate partial wetting water all surfaces, but TEOn induce superspreading polypropylene at room temperature (22 °C) critical concentration (CWC). Influence the length EO chains ability completely different character for surfactants. In case final contact angle increases substrates used with increasing number units. However, angles droplets decrease n(EO) reaching minimum values = 6 aggregation (CAC), or show complete spreading (the is nearly zero) 5–8 1 CWC moderately hydrophobic substrates. Temperature-dependent behaviour both surfactant also studied. It shown first time, that tuning ether possible. The increase capability observed close to cloud point given surfactant.
