摘要: The aim of this work was to investigate the microbial biodegradation 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate (TPM) modified (silanized) sisal fibres/PLA biocomposites by Aspergillus niger . modification fibres performed excellently, improving hydrophobicity as well mechanical properties. Compared unmodified sisal/PLA biocomposite, it produced superior interfacial adhesion between and PLA matrix. In addition, silanization also increased crystal size crystallinity in which decreased thermal decomposition an observed maximal activation energy 213 kJ/mol. This indicated stability silanized biocomposite resisting degradation. After growth test, despite molecular weight all declining due biodegradation, still possessed better properties than particularly storage modulus, hydrophobicity, reflected inhibition enzymatic Furthermore, evidence less erosion fewer fungal hyphae on surface authentic confirmation inherent antimicrobial behavior /PLA biocomposite.
