摘要: Translational control is a key genetic regulatory mechanism implicated in regulation of cell and organismal growth early embryonic development. Initiation at the mRNA 5' cap structure recognition step frequently targeted by translational mechanisms. In Drosophila embryo, cap-dependent translation uniformly distributed caudal (cad) inhibited anterior Bicoid (Bcd) to create an asymmetric distribution Cad protein. Here, we show that d4EHP, eIF4E-related binding protein, specifically interacts with Bcd suppress cad translation. inhibition depends on region (BBR) present 3' untranslated region. Thus, simultaneous interactions d4EHP BBR renders translationally inactive. This example not mediated canonical eIF4E defines new paradigm for involving tethering ends.
