摘要: Abstract Unlike resident peritoneal macrophages, which contain peroxidase in the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) and perinuclear cisternae (PN), macrophages elicited into rabbit cavity by various stimulants lack enzyme. Since we had previously found that such reactivity rapidly appears RER PN of blood monocytes after surface adherence vitro, wondered whether enzyme could be similarly produced adherence. Cells from exudates (96 hours endotoxin injection) were harvested, suspended culture medium, allowed to adhere fibrin-coated or plastic surfaces. Following for intervals, they fixed, incubated peroxidase, examined electron microscopy. We observed these cells, initially contained no cytochemically detectable acquired peroxidatic activity within 2 culture. Thus like monocytes, may acquire as a consequence plasma membrane: external interaction. In view this finding, it would seem unwise use localization basis advocating existence two separate lines has been proposed previous investigators.
