摘要: The rheological behavior of thermosetting epoxy mixtures modified with thermoplastic syndiotactic polystyrene (sPS) was monitored during the curing resin. selected system diglycidyl ether bisphenol A cured 4,4′-methylene bis(3-chloro-2,6-diethylaniline) in presence various compositions sPS (from 2.5 to 12.5 wt %). storage and loss shear moduli systems were network formation. validity Winter–Chambon criterion for accurate determination at gelation point from data demonstrated. influence concentration on dynamic properties samples investigated. experimental showed that concentrations lower than 7.5 %, phase separation induced a quick increase viscosity, which related crystallization-induced sPS. For higher near phase-inversion composition, characteristic cocontinuous structure. After viscosity jumped onset separation, decrease found, later on, increased again because gelation. Additionally, cure temperature studied. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 100: 2348–2355,
