摘要: The presence of psychrophilic yeasts in supra- and subglacial sediments, ice meltwater collected from two glaciers the Italian Alps (Forni Sforzellina – Ortles-Cevedale group) was investigated. After incubation at 4 °C, sediments contained 1.3 × 103 to 9.6 103 CFU yeasts g−1. number yeast cells supraglacial c. 10–100-fold lower. A significant proportion isolated exhibited one or more extracellular enzymatic activities (starch-degrading, lipolytic, esterolytic, proteolytic pectinolytic activity) 4 °C. Selected isolates were able grow 2 °C under laboratory-simulated situ conditions. In all, 106 identified by MSP-PCR fingerprinting 26S rRNA gene sequencing D1/D2 region as belonging 10 species: Aureobasidium pullulans, Cryptococcus gilvescens (over 50% total), terricolus, Mrakia gelida, Naganishia globosa, Rhodotorula glacialis, psychrophenolica, bacarum, creatinivora laryngis. Four strains, all a new species, yet be described, also isolated.
