摘要: Abstract Background/Aims: Traditionally, autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) are regarded as separate disease entities. We report on a group of patients that suggests the existence an overlap syndrome two conditions prevalence this among with PSC. Furthermore, impact recently revised AIH scoring system for diagnosing in context was assessed. Methods: Retrospective analysis consecutive tertiary referral centre liver diagnosis Results: Diagnosis established nine (8%) total 113 PSC patients. Four initially presented features five cases diagnosed first. All responded to immunosuppressive therapy; three long-term remission achieved. Three underwent transplantation after 4 months 7 9 years, respectively. The original versions gave essentially same results PSC-AIH syndrome. Conclusions: Patients overlapping may be more common than is currently assumed. Recognition clinical significance, considering important therapeutical consequences.
