摘要: College students' intuitive judgments about covariations between height, weight, and body fat were assessed in three experiments using responses to a series of propositional statements as the dependent variable. In Exp. 1, rendered without explicit exposure prior database. Exps. 2 3, however, databases studied these judgments. Remarkable consistencies weight fat, height well obtained across experiments. At best, there was little evidence that influenced judged among variables. Whereas unambiguous consistent with actual positive correlation less clearcut. What clear, highly similar. Implications findings from previous research suggest presence perceived negative are discussed.
