Schedule-dependent cytotoxicity of methotrexate and 5-fluorouracil in human colon and breast tumor cell lines.

摘要: The effect of sequential methotrexate and 5-fluorouracil on the clonal growth human colon adenocarcinoma cell, HCT-8, hormone-dependent breast carcinoma 47-DN, was examined. In both cell lines, when given during last 6 h a 24 exposure period, there marked synergistic inhibition growth. Shorter intervals or reverse sequence drugs were either additive antagonistic. These results indicate importance drug time interval between administration for optimal cytotoxicity in these lines. This information suggests that 18 before may have potential application design clinical trials malignancies.
