New risks from ancient food dyes: cochineal red allergy

摘要: This study reports an unusual case of IgE-mediated hypersensitivity to Cochineal red or Carmine red, a coloring agent natural origin. Although the risk anaphylactic reactions is well known, since nineties use this additive seems be nowadays on rise. The problem labeling additives used in handmade food products highlighted.
