摘要: The aim was to determine the consequences of multi-generational n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) deficiency on emotional response in rats subjected maternal separation (MS) as chronic early life stress. Pups fed a control or an PUFA deficient diet were daily separated for 2 weeks before weaning. In adult rats, reward assessed by sucrose consumption and reactivity novelty using openfield test. Both MS increased impulsivity. Moreover, nutritional stress acted synergy elevate intake 80%, compared conditions. deprivation induced depletion docosahexanoeic acid brain membranes 70% compensated increase 22:5 n-6 arachidonic (AA) levels. diet-induced AA was, however, significantly higher rats. This suggests that deficit could be environmental risk increasing vulnerability depressive-like
