摘要: INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES: The UCiTrainer is a low cost, portable laparoscopic trainer that utilizes an electronic tablet for video and optics; it can be printed with consumer-level three-dimensional (3D) printer. We report our initial experience on the feasibility of using 3D printing technology as novel method manufacturing distribution surgical education tools global demand basis. METHODS: created computer-aided designs (CAD) Solidworks Software (Dassault Systemes Corp., Velizy-Villacoublay, France) nine separate components which could then assembled into training device including instrument port mold. These files were provided to two remote institutions print assemble trainer. CAD uploaded Makerware software (MakerBot Industries, New York City, NY) sliced layers prepared printing. All pieces Flashforge Creator printer (Flashforge, Jinhua, China) in five prints. following settings used: raft layer, 15% infill, 2 shells, 0.10 mm layer height, 230 ? C extruder, 110 build plate, 90 mm/s extrusion 150 travel. In this process, successive heated, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene filament extruded laid top one another both horizontal vertical axis. mold was used create ports liquid silicone rubber. Both oral written instructions assembly components. RESULTS: Initial attempts larger (Figure 1b) not successful due deformation plastic. Additionally, calibration leveling challenging novices. Accordingly, plate increased 120 full enclosure made retain heat during process. With these adjustments, accomplished. subsequently able completely use only provided. CONCLUSIONS: successfully disseminate education. inexpensive as-needed
