Double-window Hodges-Lehman (D) filter and hybrid D-median filter for robust image smoothing

摘要: The double window Hodges-Lehman filter (DWD-filter) and a hybrid D-median (HDM-filter) for robust image smoothing are proposed. An adaptive mixture of the median D-filter, HDM first makes decisions about presence edges on basis two-way classification pixels near around pixel to be filtered. Subsequently, straightforward D-filtering is used in absence edges, filtering edges. DWD uses two windows D-filtering. smaller preserve details, then larger provide sufficient smoothing. Detailed simulation results show that HDM-filter, while retaining all good properties filter, consistently performs better, terms signal-to-noise ratio, than number other filters, including filter. shown have simpler structure, although not necessarily lesser computational complexity. >
