摘要: The limitations of angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitors and the role angiotensin II-receptor blockers (ARBs) in treatment hypertension, heart failure, diabetic nephropathy are discussed. Although ACE generally well tolerated, two important class-related adverse effects cough, which is common, angioedema, rare but serious. Cough angioedema appear to be less frequent with ARBs than inhibitors. seem as capable producing renal dysfunction. may offer more complete inhibition II mechanism action based on selective binding type 1 receptors. Many clinical studies have shown that lower blood pressure effectively other antihypertensive agents, including do not a greater effect patients failure. Some combination ARB inhibitor therapy for failure indicate advantages over either class. exert protective nephropathy. an alternative management especially ACE-inhibitor-intolerant patients. remain drugs choice left ventricular dysfunction after MI, nephropathy; these when tolerated.
