Monoclonal antibody localization of A and B isoantigens in normal and malignant fixed human tissues.

摘要: The expression of human blood group A and B isoantigens in normal malignant tissues from stomach, colon, pancreas was analyzed an immunoperoxidase assay using monoclonal antibodies specific for these isoantigens. Appropriate isoantigen demonstrated the epithelium pancreas, proximal but not distal colon A, AB, or patients. Half all gastric carcinomas showed complete loss isoantigen, whereas adjacent mucosa cases continued to express appropriate isoantigen. Isoantigen completely lost only 13% pancreatic tested. Neither nor detected colon. By contrast, 85% derived this site reexpression Inappropriate (2/5) (0/21). substance any tissue (0/38). Interestingly, differential binding Type 1 versus 2 and/or difucosyl monofucosyl substances manifested by differences intensity staining endothelium red cells.
