摘要: Pharmacogenomics can enhance patient care by enabling treatments tailored to genetic make-up and lowering risk of serious adverse events. As June 2019, there are 132 pharmacogenomic dosing guidelines for 99 drugs information is included in 309 medication labels. Recently, the technology identifying individual-specific variants (genotyping) has become more accessible. Next generation sequencing (NGS) a cost-effective option genotyping patients at many loci simultaneously, implementation these data available from organizations such as Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) Dutch Working Group (DPWG). NGS related technologies increasing knowledge research sphere, yet rates genomic literacy remain low, resulting widening gap translation patient. Multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, counsellors, pharmacists—will need combine their expertise deliver optimal pharmacogenomically-informed care.
