摘要: Is it rational to recommend surgical reconstruction of the torn anterior cruciate ligament every patient? conservative management still a valid option? Through literature review, we looked for arguments from each side and checked their validity. Unfortunately results most studies cannot be compared because following reasons not exhaustively cited: studied populations differed with respect age, sex, professional sports activity level, lesions associated ACL rupture, patient recruitment methods, time injury treatment different therapeutic modalities. Furthermore, various methods were used evaluate clinical radiological there was no consensus interpretation. Some authors assumed that incidence further meniscus could probably reduced if surgically reconstructed. But, have evidence believe this would due repair rather than decrease involvement in strenuous activities. At present is demonstrated ACL-plasty can prevent osteoarthritis. Numerous factors explain evolution arthrosis whatever ACL-ruptured knee. Studies comparing treatments confirm pre-requisite returning sporting More recent scientifically well-designed demonstrate give satisfactory many patients. They suggest some help them choose best treatment. are evidence-based systematic any who tore his ACL. Knee stability improved only by surgery but also neuromuscular rehabilitation. Whatever treatment, fully normal knee kinematics restored. While patients wish go back sport want everything possible done prolong ability perform these activities, they should informed risk osteoarthritis remains high, or conservative. Systematic review Level I, II, III IV studies, IV.
