摘要: This study aimed to assess the effects of fire on germination golden-grass (Syngonanthus nitens (Bong.) Ruhland, Eriocaulaceae) seeds. Seeds collected in Jalapao (Tocantins, Brazil) were exposed heat shock treatments at 60 oC, 100 150 oC and 200 for 1', 3', 5'. For each treatment control five replications used (20 seeds each). put Petri dishes placed inside chambers set 28 12h/12h, 40 days. Germination rates analyzed by two-factorial ANOVA, using randomization tests. Most showed high (>85%), except 200oC/3' (50%), 200oC/5, which that significantly lower (4.5%, P<0.05). The results indicated S. not stimulated or killed temperatures, when an extreme temperature time exposure combined (200oC/5'). When wet grasslands burn, where grows, passes very quickly over area during may exceed 150oC. Under these conditions, our suggest can potentially survive most fires. These findings are essential making management recommendations this species, has commercial value.
