Decays and masses of 162,163Ta and some neighboring nuclides.

摘要: {alpha} groups and {gamma}-ray transitions have been observed from nuclides produced in the bombardment of {sup 40}Ca with 127}I. Two weak were assigned to 162,163}Ta based on their measured half-lives excitation functions. With an unambiguous assignment these two absolute masses long chains, for which form links, can now be deduced confidence. Absolute are thus obtained some very far stability, including ones that not bound against ground-state proton emission. The simultaneous observation {gamma} rays other this also permitted determination upper limits six new branching ratios.
