摘要: The quantity and quality of light required for light-stimulated cell expansion in leaves Phaseolus vulgaris L. have been determined. Seedlings were grown dim red (RL; 4 micromoles photons m-2 s-1) until division the primary was completed, then excised discs incubated 10 mM sucrose plus KCl a variety treatments. growth response exposed to continuous white (WL) 16 h saturated at 100 s-1, did not show reciprocity. Extensive, but continuous, illumination needed maximal growth. wavelength dependence disc determined from fluence-response curves obtained 380 730 nm provided by Okazaki Large Spectrograph. Blue (BL; 460 nm) 660 most effective promoting leaf growth, both photosynthetically active inhibited discs. Far-red (FR; reduced effectiveness RL, BL, indicating that phytochrome separate blue-light receptor mediate cells.
