摘要: ABSTRACTThis study proposes an innovative approach for the of particle entrapment in rolling element bearings (REBs). Two couples contacting materials were considered, classical steel–steel and silicon nitride–steel used hybrid bearings. Numerical simulations, as well experiments, combine theoretical trajectories incoming contaminant particles effective ratios observed within a twin-disc machine. Linking both approaches allows highlighting some key parameters leading to under pure conditions elastohydrodynamic point contacts.
