摘要: This exercise for mineralogy/geochemistry courses uses optical microscopy to measure the grain sizes of equant halite crystals, and time complete dissolution each grain. The required equipment is readily available in most science departments: microscopes, thermometers, stopwatches, glassware, table salt.
