摘要: Samarium doped sodium bismuth silicate glass was synthesized using the melt quenching method. Detailed optical spectroscopic studies of glassy material were carried out in UV–Vis-NIR spectral range. Using absorption spectra Judd-Ofelt (JO) parameters are derived. The calculated values JO utilized evaluating various radiative such as electric dipole line strengths (Sed), transition probabilities (Arad), lifetimes (τrad), fluorescence branching ratios (β) and integrated cross- sections (σa) for stimulated emission from excited states Sm3 +‡ ion. principal transitions identified by recording spectrum. Our analysis revealed that novel system has optimum key viz. quality factor, gain, cross section quantum efficiency, which required a high performance amplifier. Calculated chromaticity co-ordinates (0.61, 0.38) also confirm its application potential display devices.
