A total 1040 h activity, including 7506 cycles, was collected from three female pups. The spent 50.3% their time in the water 49.7% hauled out on ice. When water, 20.5% actively diving, while 79.5% recorded wet at surface. Most dives shallow short duration. Mean dive duration 59.1 ± 63.5 s (SD). Maximum durations for 5.8, 7.5, 12 min. depths 12, 35, 89 m.
